  • How far in advance should I reserve my items?
    First off, CONGRATS on your upcoming celebration! Whether you are planning years out, or are a last minute Lucy, we may be able to help. Kate & Co. accepts reservations for wedding receptions one year prior to your big day. For other large events like anniversary parties, corporate events, birthday celebrations, bridal showers, baby showers, etc., it’s a good idea to reserve approximately three to six months in advance of your event date. If you are unsure, reach out! We are happy to help.
  • Do you offer event setup or on-site decorating services?
    Because most of our rental items are decor, we do not currently offer setup service. We give you creative freedom in decorating your space with the timeless Kate & Co. pieces you have chosen. If you are unsure and want some overall suggestions, we are happy to go over design plans ahead of your big day together!
  • I already reserved my items, now I am ready to get them. How do I receive my items?
    Your special day is getting closer (yay!). We currently offer decor pick up and drop off at one convenient location. We will coordinate with you or your trusted friends/family to set a pick up time, typically Friday morning before your weekend event. After your special event is over, you or your trusted friends/family will drop off the items by Monday at the same location they were picked up. If your event is local, please contact us for delivery options (delivery fee will apply).
  • How long is the rental period?
    We recognize that a 24-hour rental window may not make sense for your event if it occurs over the weekend. Our rental rates are based on a reasonable event period. Don't worry, we consider Friday through Monday to be the same as a one-day rental. Conveniently pick up your decor items on Friday, and have them returned by Monday. Simple as that! If your event is on a weekday, we are happy to coordinate your pick up and drop off times around your specific event needs.
  • Do I need to clean the rental items before returning them?
    We ask that all rental items are returned in the condition they were borrowed in. For example: when renting candle holders or candlesticks, we ask that you please remove all wax debris before returning. If you want to avoid the extra cleaning time, we recommend using LED candles instead for easy cleanup. For larger statement pieces and rentals, the condition of returned items will be examined upon pick up and again on drop off. We will talk through a rental agreement prior to any exchange of items, which goes over the specifics for each piece. There will be no surprises, we want you to have a seamless experience!
  • I love your overall vibe, but don't see a rental item I am interested in. Can you do anything to help?
    Kate & Co. was started with the inspiration to provide brides with timeless decor pieces that add elegance, class, and romance to any party. If there is a particular item that we don’t have, but you have your heart set on, let’s chat and get the ball rolling to create your decor dreams. Contact us for next steps!
  • Is a deposit required?
    Yes. To officially reserve your event weekend, a non refundable 50% deposit is required at the time of booking your event. The remaining 50% will be due at the time of item pick up.
  • I picked up my items but changed my mind at the venue. Do I still get charged for items if we decide not to set them up at the event?
    Once decor items leave our warehouse to be used at your event, we are not able to rent those items out to our other customers. Therefore, once the items are in your possession, you must pay their rental charge.
  • What happens if an item gets damaged while in our possession?
    Security and overall care of all rental decor and equipment is entirely the renter's responsibility! Equipment must be protected from theft and weather-related damage while in your possession. If damages occur, you will be charged for the full cost to replace the item. Details can be found in our rental agreement, which is signed and agreed to by both parties before an exchange of items.
  • What if I have to cancel my rental reservation?
    We understand that sometimes things come up that are out of your control. You may cancel one (1) full week prior to your scheduled event pick up date and not accrue any additional charges. To respect our other customers and our rental inventory, events canceled less than one week before the scheduled pick up date will be subject to next steps in our rental agreement. As a reminder, your 50% deposit is still non refundable.
